Loosenthe nut (13mm spanner) from the automatic cam belt tensioner. Remove the old belt. Now remove the old tensioner and the old idler pulley (Idler is 24mm socket). Fit new tensioner and new idler to the engine. Tighten the idler pulley fully, but leave the 13mm nut of the automatic tensioner lose.

30063posts · Joined 2006. #14 · Nov 30, 2008. normally the balancer belt doesnt go, i have watched and helped with a few cam belt changes, the balancer belt mostly comes out looking like new. perhaps when it had a change done earlier in life they reused the balancer belt and tensioner. Brad Davies.
