The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S offers up outstanding performance for what’s essentially a kit lens. The optics are great, the build quality is very good, and it even has weather sealing. For $600 as part of a kit with a Z mount camera or $1,000 as a standalone lens, it’s hard to go wrong.
As you can see, the Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S is an excellent kit lens for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 cameras, outperforming two of Nikon’s top zooms in sharpness and boasting exceptional flare performance and focusing accuracy. It is highly weather sealed, lightweight, and – at least when bought as part of a kit – a very good value at $600.
The Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S is designed for use with full-frame cameras, giving you the same 24-70mm equivalent focal length, with an angle of view of 84 - 34 degrees.
