Saying that 30-35k is too much for a 2011, isn't sensible. That would equate to roughly 5-6k miles per year. Significantly under average and very hard to find. The cars with that mileage are usually not for sale by their current owners. Most M3s fall into the 8-10k miles per year range.
The E92 was the last generation to include coupé (and convertible) body styles as a part of the 3 Series range. For later generations, these body styles are marketed as the 4 Series. Despite the E90/E91 being phased out for the F30/F31 after the 2011 model year, the E92/E93 continued through the 2013 model year.
Torque isn’t nearly as important on a road course, where the M3 was meant to live. Each M3 has been a substantial improvement over the predecessor. E92 M3 has gobs more torque than the E46 M3. It may not look like it's a big difference on paper, but it definitely is.
Among the affected models are the 2009 328i and 328xi, 2009-2011 335d, 2008-2012 M3 Coupe, M3 Convertible, and 2008-2011 M3 Sedans. Vehicle Died While Driving.
