I've gotten end-to-end trips with just level 3. Nothing is >1200 miles away (it's actually like 950 or so) ATS went from 1:35 to 1:20 scale. I believe ETS2 is 1:18 scale, with the exception of the UK, which is 1:15.

ETS2 takes place in Europe with European trucks, has more trucks amd a larger map, but is generally of lower quality than ATS as the majority of it was made using older methods and assets. ATS takes place in America with American trucks.

Also to give you an idea of map size, its huge. It took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes (maybe 2 hours) of real time to drive non-stop from London, England to Warsaw, Poland. During that drive I had my speed regulator off, and was running about 80 mph (128 kmh) at night on a mostly open interstate/autobahn.
